Bea Armstrong — Co-founder
Bea Armstrong is a licensed psychotherapist in the state of California and has been in private practice for nearly two decades. She became interested in the political process in her teens, and campaigned with the Young Republicans. She was a newspaper journalist and wrote and edited for several metro dailies, including The Detroit News and The San Jose Mercury News. A search for an ethically grounded political stance led her to the Libertarian Party in the late 1970s. She campaigned for several presidential candidates, was a delegate to the LP's national convention, and ran a statewide campaign for governor in Illinois in 1982 on the LP ticket.
Kenneth T. Hern — Co-founder
Kenneth T. Hern is a graduate organic chemist who has never practiced the science and has spent over 50 years in the oil and gas industry in such delightful places as Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; Lagos, Nigeria; and Rio de Janerio, Brazil. Sometime around 1965, he was introduced to the writings of Ayn Rand, including, The Fountain Head, Atlas Shrugged, and later read Rand's For The New Intellectual and Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal. He belonged to International Republican Clubs, helped raise campaign funds for George W. Bush, and was nominated as a candidate to serve as Ambassador to Nigeria and Saudi Arabia during "W's" second term.
Patrick Peterson — Co-founder
Pat Peterson brings more than 30 years of experience with free-market, non-profit organizations, as well as over eight years in the technology industry, to LibertyatStake.com. He was the Product Master Manager with VeriSign, Inc., for four years and served with VeriSign's marketing department for three years, contributing to the company's rise from 100 to 2000 employees. Before moving to Silicon Valley in 1995, Pat was President and Co-founder of the Free Market Society of Chicago, an educational non-profit 501(c)3 offering seminars and events highlighting great free market economists. Pat also served as the original Development Director of the Heartland Institute, a premier Midwest think tank located in Chicago, helping them grow from 20 founding supporters to more than 600. Pat earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Lawrence University, in Canton, New York, with a multi-field major (Economics-History-Government) and has studied graduate economics at San Jose State University.
Sean Eric Armstrong — Co-founder & Managing Editor
Sean Eric Armstrong is an Internet marketing consultant, writer, publisher, and the founder of Kethyr Solutions, an Internet marketing firm dedicated to helping businesses succeed online. Having been raised by a libertarian-minded mother and a republican father, Sean has been interested in politics since his teens and has developed an anarcho-libertarian philosophical bent since his early twenties.
